RREF Alumni
The Reading Real Estate Foundation (RREF) was incorporated in January 2002 and is a registered charity. It has been set up to provide financial support for real estate education at the University of Reading.
Its objectives are to strengthen the links between the University of Reading School of Business and the Reading real estate graduates through the creation of an alumni database; to help support and improve the quality of real estate education at the University of Reading; to help maintain its position at the forefront of European real estate and to raise awareness, worldwide, of the work of the university in the real estate industry.
Funds have been allocated by RREF for the following purposes:
- promoting the business school to the real estate industry
- a schools programme to promote careers in the real estate industry to attract the best school leavers
- a real estate advisory board to provide a forum for informed but independent advice to the Real Estate & Planning (REP) department on issues surrounding the employability of REP students.
- promoting fellowships and grants to attract the best academic staff
- a range of career activities including student evening lecture series, careers convention and fair and a work placement scheme
