International students' welfare
We know that making the decision to come and study in another country is an important one. The University has a wide range of services designed to help international students while they are here, covering both academic and personal issues.
We try hard to provide the best possible support for our students. From the Health Centre to the Students' Union Advice Centre we ensure there is always someone, somewhere who can be called upon for help.
As a student, you will have a Personal Tutor throughout your time here, supervising your work and helping you adapt the university life. The Wardens in the Halls of Residence are always ready to give advice and the Students' Union has many services you will find useful.
Our International Student Adviser provides cross-cultural support of all kinds to new international students with a particular focus on developing support networks and new learning skills. Drop-in sessions are available every week and longer appointments are available by arrangement.
